  3. PM Scrapbook is a 32 bit OS/2 PM Personal Information Manager/Database
  4. with address books, to-do lists, user definable "tables", note pads
  5. and Workplace Shell references organized in a graphical tree format.

  7. ================== INSTALLATION ==========================================
  8.  
  9. Step1 - Copy PMScrpBk.exe to a directory that you use to store programs or
  10.         to it's own directory.
  11.  
  12. Step2 - Copy PMScrpBk.hlp to a directory that is listed in the HELP variable
  13.         in your CONFIG.SYS
  14.         or
  15.         add the new directory for PM Scrapbook to your CONFIG.SYS HELP var
  16.  
  17. Step3 - Copy PMScrpBk.scb to your disk. In general, it helps to create a new
  18.         directory and copy all of these files in it. You can then store
  19.         additional scrapbooks in the same directory with the executables and
  20.         help.
  21.  
  22. Step3 - Add a program entry to any of your folders for PMScrpbk.exe.  The
  23.         only required program setting is the Path and file name field for
  24.         PMScrpBk.exe. If you enter a scrapbook file in the Parameters field,
  25.         PM Scrapbook will open the file when executed.
  26.  
  27. Alternately, you can just start PMScrpBk.exe to get a feel for the program.

  29. ================== REGISTRATION ==========================================

  31. If, after 30 days, you find PM Scrapbook useful, you must register it.
  32. The registration fee for individuals is $35 (US).  The registered version
  33. disables the initial 'hello' window and provides you peace of mind.
  34.  
  35. Registeration for PM Scrapbook is $35 U.S. per copy. Site licenses can be
  36. negotiated on  request. Registered users will receive a key to unlock the
  37. program. This removes the initial 'hello' window. This key will unlock this
  38. and all upcoming 2.x versions of PM Scrapbook.

  40. Registration fees may be submitted through cash, checks drawn on U.S. banks,
  41. money orders or international money orders.

  43. Note: Please include your name, address and the version number you are
  44. registering.

  150. ================== A NOTE TO CURRENT PM SCRAPBOOK USERS ==================

  152. Every effort has been made in this release of PM Scrapbook to insure that
  153. all scrapbooks created in previous versions are still compatable. If you
  154. have trouble loading an earlier version of a scrapbook, please forward the
  155. file to Coolware and every effort will be made to correct the problem. All
  156. data within the file will be held in the strictest of confidence.

  158. ================== UNINSTALLING PM SCRAPBOOK =============================
  159.  
  160. Step1 - Run PMScrpBk.exe from an OS/2 command window with "remove_pmsb_now"
  161.         (without the quotes) as a parameter. This will remove the
  162.         references to PM Scrapbook from your OS/2 INI file.
  163.  
  164. Step2 - Delete PMScrpBk.* from the directory you installed it in.
  165.  
  166. Step3 - Delete all *.scb files from your hard drive.
  167.  
  168. Note that you may perform only 'Step1' if you want to 'reset' PM Scrapbbok
  169. to it's default settings.
